The squeegee evaporator is a highly efficient evaporator that is forced to form a film by a rotating blade and flows at a high speed.It has high heat transfer efficiency and short residence time.It consists of one or more cylinders heated by the barrel and a rotating film scraper in the cylinder,which continuously scrapes the material onto the heated surface to form a thick uniform liquid film and moves downwards;in the process,low boiling point The components evaporate and the residue is discharged from the bottom of the evaporator.
Since the evaporating gas has a certain pressure drop from the heated surface to the external condenser,in a typical evaporator,this pressure drop is usually high and sometimes even unacceptable.However,the stainless steel thin film evaporator has a large gas flow space,and the pressure in the evaporator can be regarded as almost the pressure in the condenser.Therefore,the pressure drop is small and the vacuum can reach 5 mm Hg.
Due to the above characteristics,the evaporation process of the stainless steel thin film evaporator can be maintained at a high degree of vacuum.As the degree of vacuum increases,the boiling point of the corresponding material decreases rapidly,so that it can be operated at a lower temperature to reduce thermal decomposition of the product.
