Aluminum Reactor Troubleshooting

1. Troubleshooting Abnormal Temperatures
If the reactor temperature fails to reach the set point or fluctuates excessively, first check the temperature control system. Check the temperature control instrument display for accuracy and any loose or damaged wiring. Next, inspect the heating components to see if they are intact, including any local damage or poor contact. Also, check the uniformity of the material within the reactor. If the material is clumping or accumulating, this may lead to uneven heat transfer and require prompt adjustment.
2. Troubleshooting Abnormal Pressures
If the pressure within the reactor rises or falls abnormally, first check the pressure instrument for calibration and ensure accurate readings. Next, check the feed valve for tightness and for any excessive material inflow or leakage. If the pressure continues to rise, check the safety valve for proper opening and the exhaust pipe for obstruction. If the pressure drops, focus on checking the seals for leaks and any loose pipe connections.

3. Seal Leakage Troubleshooting

If a leak is detected, first inspect the leak location. If it's at the connection between the lid and the reactor, check for aging, deformation, or misalignment during installation. If it's at a pipe joint, check the seals for integrity and the bolts for tightness. Apply soapy water to the suspected leak site and observe for bubbles. After pinpointing the leak, replace the seal or retighten it.

4. Troubleshooting Abnormal Noise

If the equipment makes unusual noise during operation, first shut down the machine and inspect all moving parts. Check for bearing wear, oil shortages, and any foreign objects stuck in rotating parts. Next, inspect the agitator shaft to see if it's deflected, if the impellers are rubbing against the reactor wall, or if there's material entangled in the shaft. Also, check the stability of the equipment foundation. A loose foundation may cause vibration and noise during operation and may require reinforcement.
