The working principle of a Rotary Vacuum Dryer
After the equipment is turned on, the vacuum system first operates, extracting air and some moisture from the drying chamber, creating a low-pressure environment. This environment significantly lowers the boiling point of the moisture in the material, breaking the limitation of conventional drying, which requires high temperatures to vaporize the moisture, and laying the foundation for subsequent low-temperature drying.
Then the heating system begins operating, transferring heat to the material in the drying chamber through hot air, steam, or electrical heating. This heat is evenly applied to the surface and interior of the material, causing the moisture in the material to absorb energy and gradually vaporize, converting to water vapor. During this process, because the chamber is already at low pressure, the moisture vaporizes at a relatively low temperature, effectively protecting the composition and quality of heat-sensitive materials.
3. Water Vapor Exhaust
The resulting water vapor gradually accumulates in the drying chamber. The vacuum system then operates continuously to promptly extract this water vapor from the drying chamber. Water vapor is piped to a condenser to prevent it from circulating within the chamber and causing humidity to rise. This ensures a consistently low humidity environment within the drying chamber, conducive to moisture vaporization and continuous drying.
4. Complete the Drying Cycle
As the heating and vacuuming processes continue, moisture in the material is continuously vaporized and expelled, gradually reducing the material's moisture content to the target standard. When the material reaches the required dryness, the heating system is stopped, and the chamber temperature is allowed to drop to the desired range. The vacuum system is then turned off, and the chamber is opened to remove the dried material, completing the drying process.
