Introduction

It consists of two main components - a jacketed housing and a rotor assembly that rotate at high speed within the housing. The feed enters the evaporator at the top, is tangent to the casing, and is distributed along the casing by the distributor. The rotor blades spread the feed evenly over the heated surface to form a film and further agitate the film. The volatile components in the feed are evaporated by the jacketed heating medium.
