Hydrogenation Reactor

A hydrogenation autoclave is core sealed pressure equipment for catalytic hydrogenation in petrochemical, pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries. It completes gas-liquid-solid three-phase hydrogenation reactions under stable high temperature and high pressure closed environments.

Standard Operation Flow

 

Operators feed raw materials and solid catalysts into the autoclave and seal the tank tightly. The device pumps out internal air to avoid oxidation risk, and injects high-purity hydrogen to reach preset pressure. The built-in agitator accelerates hydrogen dissolution to improve mass transfer efficiency. As hydrogenation is an exothermic reaction, the circulating temperature control system keeps constant temperature to prevent side reactions.

Nickel, palladium and platinum are common industrial hydrogenation catalysts. After the reaction, workers stop hydrogen supply, cool the tank slowly and release pressure safely before discharging materials. This batch-type hydrogenation process owns adjustable parameters and high safety, which is widely used for organic saturation and selective reduction production.
