Introduction

Vacuum rake dryer is a novel horizontal intermittent vacuum drying equipment. Wet materials are evaporated through conduction, and a scraper stirrer is equipped to continuously remove the material on the hot surface. The material is then pushed inside the container to form a circulating flow, and the water evaporates before being pumped out by a vacuum pump. Vacuum rake dryers are commonly used in organic semi-finished products and fuel drying operations in the chemical industry.
The vacuum rake dryer device indirectly heats materials with steam jackets and exhausts them under high vacuum, making it particularly suitable for drying materials that are not resistant to high temperatures and are prone to oxidation at high temperatures, or materials that are prone to powder generation during drying (such as various fuels), as well as materials that must be recovered with steam or solvents removed during the drying process. The highest moisture or solvent content of the dried material in a vacuum rake dryer is 90%, while the lowest is only 15%. The dried materials can be in the form of slurry, paste, granules, powder, or fiber. The moisture content of these materials after drying generally reaches 0.1%, or even 0.05%.
The dried material is added from the middle of the shell, and under the stirring of continuously rotating rake teeth, the surface of the material contacts the shell wall constantly updates. The dried material is indirectly heated by steam, causing the material moisture to vaporize. The vaporized moisture is promptly removed by a vacuum pump. This machine can simultaneously use a sandwich and rake teeth heating method, with a larger heat transfer area and high thermal efficiency, enabling it to achieve higher drying efficiency. Due to the high operating vacuum, the surface water vapor pressure of the dried material is much greater than the water vapor pressure of the evaporation space inside the drying machine casing, which is conducive to the discharge of internal and surface water of the dried material, and the movement of water molecules of the dried material, achieving the drying goal.
