How to improve the evaporation efficiency of Agitated Film Evaporator

There are many ways to improve the evaporation efficiency of Agitated Film Evaporator. The following is an introduction from the aspects of equipment adjustment, operation optimization, material handling, etc.:

Optimize equipment design and maintenance

Choose a suitable agitator: According to the material characteristics and evaporator structure, select a high-efficiency agitator, such as a propeller or turbine agitator, etc., optimize the shape, size and speed of the agitator so that the material can form a film evenly and improve the heat transfer coefficient.

Maintain the equipment regularly: clean the dirt and coking in the evaporator in time to avoid increasing thermal resistance and affecting the heat transfer effect. At the same time, check the sealing performance of the equipment to prevent the vacuum degree from decreasing due to leakage, which will affect the evaporation efficiency.

Optimizing operating parameters

Control the heating temperature: within the range allowed by the material, appropriately increase the heating temperature to increase the heat transfer temperature difference, but prevent the material from overheating and deterioration.

Adjust operating pressure: Reasonably reduce operating pressure, lower the boiling point of materials, achieve low-temperature evaporation, reduce thermal damage to materials, and increase evaporation rate.

Optimize feed flow rate: Determine the optimal feed flow rate through experiments and production practice so that the material has a suitable residence time in the evaporator and can be fully evaporated.

Improve material properties

Reduce material viscosity: For high-viscosity materials, preheating, adding diluents and other methods can be used to reduce viscosity and improve the fluidity of the material so that it can better form a uniform film on the heating surface and improve heat transfer and evaporation efficiency.

Optimize material pretreatment: filter and remove impurities from the material to remove impurities that may affect heat transfer and evaporation, and ensure smooth flow of fluid and heat transfer in the evaporator.

Choose the right heat transfer medium

Select high-efficiency heat transfer medium: According to the process requirements, select heat transfer medium with high thermal conductivity, large specific heat capacity and good chemical stability, such as heat transfer oil, steam, etc., to improve heat transfer efficiency.

Optimize heat transfer medium parameters: Reasonably control the temperature, flow rate and pressure of the heat transfer medium to ensure good heat transfer effect between it and the material and improve the overall performance of the evaporator.
