A centrifugal film evaporator is similar in structure to a disc centrifuge, but the disc has a sandwich with internally heated steam. During operation,the liquid is distributed on the inner surface of the disc by centrifugal force generated by rotating the disc to form a film; the steam in the disc interlayer is heated and evaporated by the liquid film; the concentrated liquid is collected in the surrounding liquid tank. The suction pipe adopts vacuum suction; the secondary steam is collected and raised through the head space of the disc,is condensed into the condenser,and is taken out by the vacuum pump. The heated steam is passed through the bottom hollow shaft and enters the disc sandwich through the passage.

The centrifugal film evaporator has high heat transfer efficiency, high evaporation intensity, short liquid heating time (about 1-2 seconds), and the formed film thickness is only 0.1 mm.It is especially suitable for the evaporation and concentration of heat-sensitive substances such as fruit juice, but it is not suitable for high viscosity , easy crystallized and fouling liquid.
