The separation is carried out by using the difference in relative volatility of each component in the liquid phase.In the tower,steam rises from the bottom of the tower to the top of the tower,and the liquid descends from the top of the tower to the bottom of the tower.When the vapor-liquid two phases are in contact with each other on each of the layers,the vapor phase is partially condensed and the liquid phase is partially vaporized.Due to the partial vaporization of the liquid,the light components in the liquid diffuse into the vapor phase,causing the light components in the steam to increase; while the partial condensation of the steam causes the heavy components in the vapor to diffuse into the liquid phase,and the heavy components in the liquid phase increase,thereby making the same The vapor-liquid two phases that are in contact with each other on the layer tend to balance.
