2.The operating temperature of the molecular distiller is much lower than the boiling point of the material: According to the principle of molecular distillation,the separation of the mixture is realized due to the different mean free path of different kinds of molecules escaping the liquid surface,and does not need to be boiled.Therefore,short-path distillation is operated at temperatures well below the boiling point.This is essentially different from conventional distillation.

3.Short-distance distillation has a short heating time: According to the principle of molecular distillation,the distance between the heated liquid surface and the condensation surface is shorter than the average free path of the light molecule,and the light molecules that escape from the liquid surface reach almost without collision.Condensing surface,so the heating time is very short.In addition,the mixed liquid is in the form of a film so that the area of the liquid surface and the heating surface are almost equal,so that the heating time of the material in the short-path distillation becomes shorter.For other distillations,the heating time is generally longer (more than 30 minutes),while the short-path distillation is only a dozen seconds.
