Introduction

Steam Distillation Apparatus refers to a method of extracting a volatile component by co-distilling a plant material containing a volatile component with water,distilling off the volatile component together with water vapor.The method is applicable to the extraction of plant active ingredients which are volatile,can be distilled without steam,are stable in water and are poorly soluble or insoluble in water.It is the most commonly used method for extracting botanical natural flavors.Its processes,equipment,operation and other technologies are relatively mature,low cost and large output,and equipment and operation are relatively simple.
